I came to this work like so many in this field—
I was fatigued, no idea what or how to eat, gut challenges were a constant strain, and overall I felt overwhelmed at not knowing what to do. In 2005, I ran my first marathon, I was constantly exhausted and sore. I could do my training run/s, but then the rest of the day I just couldn’t get my energy back to keep up with work and the lifestyle I wanted. My interest in understanding food, started when I sought out a nutritionist in CO. I was put on a program of anti-inflammatory foods, kicking out the sugar, gluten, and some other allergens that was most likely making me feel slow, to clear away any toxins and improve how my organs functioned. Within a month I saw significant improvement in my fatigue and no more aches or pains after my running workouts. I was able to get my life back and still train 5 days a week. I ran my 1st marathon after 3 months after eating completely clean, or the cleanest I have ever done. I ran, I finished, and I loved it. The day after, I actually ran again, just a few miles, and thought why is everyone else so tired, and sore?
Fast forward 6 months later I ran my 2nd marathon. I, unfortunately, was back to my “SAD” diet lifestyle of eating patterns (Standard American Diet) and I was in for a real surprise. I had no idea the effects it would take on my body. My training was identical to what I did before. I ran, I finished, I hated it. Every minute was hard, I was not smiling, I was grimacing. The next day I could hardly move. I was in agony and could hardly get myself to sit down without immense pain. This is when I realized diet is absolutely everything. The most important thing we can do for ourselves is what we put in our bodies, our food, our fuel. These two races were only 6 months apart, I was the same age, did the same exact training program, and the outcome was completely different. My holistic nutrition path began.
I dove head first into learning about nutrition and diets, what food meant, how to eat, when, and how to continually heal my body. I was also dealing with major gut issues on and off my entire life and knew this was something that I could heal, as I was not getting any help from the many Doctors I visited, and the many many procedures that got me no where.
My transformation was incredible when I realized how to heal and figured out my digestive incapabilities and problems. I found the culprit and learned how to heal it. So many years of feeling miserable and feeling like there was just nothing I could do. My personal journey has lead me to immense compassion for my clients. I absolutely love hearing and seeing the transformation in clients after implementing protocols based on lab testing while embracing a whole food, nutrient dense diet.
Having graduated from Bauman college as a Nutrition consultant in 2017 and been working with my advanced skills from graduating from Restorative Wellness Solutions of functional nutrition since 2019 with certifications in Gastrointestinal Healing, Optimizing Hormones, Nutritional Blood Chemistry, Genomics, Autoimmune, and Detox/Toxins. I have been seeing clients for over 7 years with a specialty in gut healing and digestive health.
Every client is a new case with a completely different set of new directions. We are all unique and I look at everything with curiosity, excitement, and the upmost care. I am here to put together a way of healing for your body, no doubt is can be tough at times, and it takes one to want to heal, there is no “quick fix” of any pill. My role is to support your healing journey and sort through your challenges, and to find the root cause of what is driving them. It can be a big puzzle at times, as symptoms can mean so many different things, I will listen to all the details, and your story to customize a strategy to heal. I would love to support you on this journey and would love the opportunity to work with you.
